About Us: We are a family business consisting of 4 companies – Direct Fire Supplies, Edencraft International, Edencraft Marine, and Edencraft Creative. We are more than just a family-owned business. We are a leader in customer service which includes; delivering steel pipes & fittings to the fire sprinkler industry throughout Victoria, servicing customer vessels through Edencraft Marine, which is also a Mercury Motors dealership, and delivering the world’s best trailer boat experience through crafting custom built, high-performance boats. We also combine our expertise in fibreglass construction with cutting-edge CNC technology through our business Edencraft Creative. Our innovative approach allows us to dream big. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Office Manager to keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Position Overview: As the Office Manager for the Maher Group, you’ll play a critical role in the administrative and financial operations of the business. Your experience in managing day-to-day office functions, combined with your knowledge of accounting systems and processes, will help streamline our operations and support the manufacturing side of our businesses.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee office administration and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll using Xero.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.
  • Have a sound knowledge and understanding of ERP software
  • Coordinate with the manufacturing team on invoicing and payments related to boat-building projects.
  • Handle financial reporting and assist with budget tracking.
  • Organise schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements for senior management.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and manage orders for production.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and handle internal communications.
  • Support HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Handle all correspondence, emails, and phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Maintain filing systems and ensure all records are properly documented.

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager in a manufacturing or related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Xero accounting software and experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciling accounts.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage both administrative and financial tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in financial reporting and budget management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • An understanding of the boat-building or manufacturing industry is highly regarded.
