The Captain puts the new 565 to the test
The Captain has scored the first ride in the new 565 and has brought his checklist to Eden (where else?) on the NSW South Coast. Our salty inspection crew for this special occasion includes Joel Ryan, who skippers a 6m Edencraft Offshore as well as the original father of Edencraft, Ron Doyle.
The new 565 Portland sea trial
A typical Portland day made for great conditions to test the boat, with approximately 2m swell from a big blow the day before.
This is some unedited footage of the new Edencraft 565 heading around Lawrence Rock and towards Cape Bridgewater.
Powered by a 150hp Mercury, the 565 cruised along beautifully at 20-22 knots demonstrating it's deep vee offshore pedigree alongside the 233 Formula we filmed from.

A light breeze with 2-3m swells in some parts, and messy seas due to heavy winds the day before (upwards of 40knots). Perfect conditions to test a new boat.
